I invest in the community because I know the return is always WIN-WIN!

The gallery below highlights a few of my community engagement projects and partnerships.
Naomi's Home

A program of Project Safety- Net ran by the Outreach Ministry of Overcoming Church. Naomi’s House provides care for first-time pregnant teenagers in an effort to improve maternal health. Naomi's House is a safe and nuturing environment which is needed to empower the young families. I am excited to serve here as a volunteer Program Director helping them to build community and professional partnerships, a client base, and avenues of development.

CHIP Indy homeless count report

As many as 4,800 to 8,000 individuals are experiencing homelessness in Indianapolis. Results from the most current study showed a 20 percent increase in those becoming homeless due to job loss.

I serve as a volunteer surveyor of the homeless population in Indianapolis (Marion County). I have been involved in this yearly project since 2009. The count takes place all on one night in the summer.  The statistics gathered help to produce a report that is essential in service planning for the county.

The primary sponsor for the report is Herman & Kittle Properties, Inc. The IUPUI Solution Center and Christ Church Cathedral provided additional financial support for the 2013 Point-In-Time Count and the subsequent report. The United Way of Central Indiana provided financial support for the 100K Homes Campaign and Registry Week. Lilly Endowment, Inc., and the Indianapolis Foundation, an affiliate of the Central Indiana Community Foundation, provide significant annual support to the Coalition’s and community’s programs.
